University life 2
On Tuesday my friend and I went to The Gallery which was held by Katherine Chung and Rachel Kahn at York University. There were only few people attended to this exhibition. Perhaps it was lunch time. When I went there, I tried to take some picture with their paintings. Katherine Chung’s paintings were abstract style, for example the first painting that I posted was one of her untitled abstract painting, so that I used my imagination to look at her paintings. She also likes flowers. Moreover, she has some flower paintings which were what I like such as “Iris”.
Mostly, I like Rachel Kahn’s paintings because her paintings were more closed to our lives, such as some of her painting, “Elevator”, “Waiting”, “Stairway” and so on. Besides, she made some pillows called “Cosmo Pillow”.
It was interesting to enjoy their artwork, but I hope next time they could display their artwork more.

Hi Doris,
The artwork display sounds really interesting and I really like your pictures! I hope that you will continue to take advantage of the different activities at York. It gives students a chance to see the work of other students and gives the painters a chance to display their work and talk about it to a variety of people. You can learn a lot about what the artist wants to say and how they do it.
Cheers,
Lynne
